Merino comes from the merino sheep, a breed that originally lives in extreme conditions. Heat during the day, cold at night, little shelter. The wool the animal develops to survive that is exceptionally fine, temperature-regulating and naturally odor-resistant. What nature optimized over centuries still works today.

Merino is at its best at the edges of the day. The warmup, the cooldown, the hours after. At low to moderate intensity it regulates effortlessly. At higher intensity it stays functional, but wicks moisture less quickly than synthetic alternatives. Where merino wins is comfort over time. You put it on and forget you're wearing it.
