GRS.
GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard. It certifies that recycled materials are actually what they claim to be. That the raw material is traceable, that the recycling process is sound and that the end product is entitled to carry the claim. Independently verified, across the entire supply chain.
why it matters.
Recycled appears on many labels. But without verification, it's a marketing term. GRS makes it verifiable. It sets requirements for the origin of the raw material, the production process and the social and environmental conditions along the way. From waste stream to finished product. Every step is documented and checked.
For us, transparency is not an add-on. It is the foundation.
what the certification covers.
- Minimum 20% recycled content required, from 50% the full GRS claim may be used
- Traceable from waste stream to end product
- Requirements for social conditions and environmental practices throughout the supply chain
- Applicable to all types of recycled material, synthetic and natural
- Independent verification by certified auditors
in the collection.
GRS applies to products containing recycled fibres, such as recycled polyamide and recycled polyester. The longsleeve carries the GRS certification. Where applicable, it is listed on the product page and the hangtag.
