Burpee Broad Jumps
A burpee followed by a jump forward, repeated over a fixed distance. The combination of strength, mobility and explosiveness makes this one of the most technically demanding stations.
Poor execution here costs more energy than necessary, while the distance stays the same. Efficiency decides how much this station takes out of you.
How to do it
- Drop into a burpee, chest touching the ground
- Come back up to standing
- Jump forward as far as possible from a standstill
- Land with both feet together, under control
- Repeat immediately from where you land
The jump determines how many reps you need. A bigger, controlled jump is more efficient than several small ones.
Common mistakes
- Jumping too short. Means more reps over the same distance.
- Incomplete burpee. A chest that doesn't touch the ground gets no-repped.
- Landing on one leg. Significantly raises injury risk.
- Starting too fast. The pace can't hold up this way.
- Slow transition. Too much pause between the burpee and the jump costs time.
