elastane.
Elastane isn't a fabric you wear. It's the reason your clothing moves with you. It's found in many blends. Sometimes 5%, sometimes 20%. Not as the main material, but as a functional ingredient. The fiber that makes stretch possible, holds its shape and springs back after every movement. Without elastane, a squat in tight clothing is a fight. With elastane, you stop noticing the fabric at all.
properties.
- Exceptional stretch, up to five times its original length
- High recovery, returns to shape after every movement
- Lightweight and invisible within a blend
- Resistant to sweat, heat and repeated strain
- Not breathable as a standalone fiber, always combined with other materials
- Can create a shaped or tight fit. Sometimes exactly what you want, sometimes not
in the blend.
Elastane doesn't have its own score table. A blend's scores are determined by the combination, not by a single fiber. What elastane adds to any fabric is freedom of movement and fit. How much it adds depends on the percentage and the main fiber.
A polyamide-elastane blend moves differently than a cotton-elastane blend. Same ingredient, different result. That's why we list the exact composition per product.
collection.
Elastane isn't automatically in every piece. It's a deliberate choice per product. In training-focused pieces where freedom of movement and fit matter, it adds something. In lifestyle and recovery pieces we sometimes deliberately choose a blend without it. Less shaped, more room, a different feel. The exact composition is listed on every product page.
