Coliving Pyrenees
I’m currently staying in a coliving space in the Pyrenees, southern France 🇫🇷. A peaceful spot surrounded by mountains, silence and sport. A mix of digital nomads from different countries.. from entrepreneurs and developers to marketers and designers. A fun and useful way to connect.
In between: croissants 🥐, hiking and cycling. Ancizan, Portet, Tourmalet… stunning climbs, breathtaking views. And to top it off, the Tour de France just kicked off, along with Wimbledon.
The perfect ground to keep moving forward with Fract.
Survey
To sharpen our positioning and proposition, we ran a small survey among athletes. Around 50 participants shared their preferences, frustrations and wishes (thanks again!). This led to the following insights 🧠:
- Hyrox is clearly popular: 43% of respondents actively enjoy this sport.
- When buying sportswear, Fit is the top priority.. 47% named it as their main decision factor. Interestingly, Price & Quality matter less, with only 14% seeing it as the most important.
- We also tested our brand values. “Committed” stood out as the clear favourite, chosen by 37%.
- The most common frustration? Sizing that’s off. Items often don’t fit as expected.
- What would help, according to the respondents: clear info about fit, length and fabric. Strong descriptions, sharp photos, videos in action. More clarity in search and filter options was also mentioned.
All valuable input we’re taking with us.
CRM
One of our key focus areas is building a strong CRM.. in a personal, honest and consistent way. Long-term. That’s why it’s great to see the survey also led to new newsletter signups 🙏.
From now on, we’ll send it out every 2 weeks instead of weekly. To keep it relevant and easy to follow.
The research also clarified which Instagram topics resonate most. In order of interest:
- New collections and designs (33%)
- Mindset, routines and rituals (22%)
- Workout inspiration (19%)
- Behind the scenes (12%)
- Nutrition and recovery (10%)
- None of the above (4%)
That helps us define focus and priorities for the content we share.
Looking ahead
Of all the suppliers we reached out to, a few remain that might be a good match with our values. All full-service partners who can support us with design, sourcing and production.. most promising around Porto and Barcelos.
Later this week, I’ll drive out that way. Not just to meet online, but to get a real sense of the connection. Really looking forward to it.. I’ll share the outcomes next time.
